Hello Trent,
Just like most things, once the media started talking about the possiblilty of any shortage, it gives the retailers permission to raise prices. It doesn't seem to matter whether it is based on sound economic principals our not.
It just seems like an opportunity to take advantage of a gullable public looking for another crisis.
