The irony of the world today as I save the bacon, or Spam

As I sit with this first litter gilt assisting her farrowing I am reading a terribly misleading article about the abuse to make Spam.

First I wipe every pig dry at birth with a towell. Then assist the little turds with there first meal.

If this is abuse I WANT SOME

USDA has proven managed cattle grazing improves plant diversity yes Dietary Committee chooses to ignore

"Plant diversity is highest when high numbers of plant species are combined with a more even distribution of production among species," the ARS report said. "(Richard H.) Hart and his colleagues found 46 species of plants on the moderately grazed land, compared to 43 under heavy grazing and 36 under light grazing."

USDA/HHS are about to screw up human health for the worse.

Drew Ramsey is an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at Columbia University and is co-author of "The Happiness Diet." He wrote this in the New York Times:

"Meat, fish and eggs are our only concentrated dietary sources of vitamin D, vitamin B12, omega-3 fats (which play a huge role in brain health), heme-iron (which increases the absorption of iron from vegetables) and conjugated linoleic acid, which appears to fight cancer and heart disease."

Dr. Arthur Beaudet, professor and chair of Molecular and Human Genetics at the Baylor College of Medicine, is one of the leading scientists looking at autism in children.

"My work clearly shows that kids who eat beef early in life have a lower incidence of autism than those who do not. Human breast milk and even infant formula are excellent sources of carnitine but when we transition infants to solid food, we often feed primarily pureed vegetables and cereal, leaving a real void for carnitine production in the body."

Mercury in vaccines not to blame for Autism

Seriously how many lives have been screwed up because parents did not vaccinate their kids because they were told it causes autism?

Far too many when you read this...

Very interesting beef story from UK.

This picture truly shows the difference between EU beef production and a corn fed U.S. beef system. Don't they know that intramuscular fat (marbling) is the heart healthy Omega 3 fat?
